Licking Valley In Panic After Active Shooter Report

The Licking County Sheriff’s Office responded to a situation at Licking Valley schools Friday morning.

Sheriff’s department and police were called to the scene of a possible active shooter at Licking Valley Local Schools around 11 am.

Several 911 reports were placed about a man with a gun. Licking County had one male detained with the firearm.

The man had allegedly gone to the school after the report of an active shooter. He reached there with a gun to supposedly defend the school.

County sheriff declared the school premise safe and contacted families. Reports stated, no guns were fired and no one was hurt.
