As Boruto is a spin-off sequel series of Naruto, their worlds are almost entirely similar. Both of them possess great abilities and power levels that have been seen over the years. One of the most powerful abilities in the Naruto and Boruto verse is Dojutsu, which is an ocular-based technique that has a lot of importance in the story.
From the Byakugan to Sharingan, many prominent dojutsu have been utilized in Boruto, but the strongest ocular technique ever seen is the Rinnegan. Rinnegan is reputed as the epitome of Dojutsu techniques and very few characters in the series have been able to activate it and use it properly.
However, there’s one more dojutsu technique that is considered to be even stronger than the Rinnegan and is yet to make an appearance in Boruto. This technique has only been used by Kaguya Otsutsuki and the Ten Tails. The name of the technique is Rinne Sharingan.
The True Power of Rinne Sharingan
The Rinne-Sharingan is equipped with a limitless supply of power, which a typical shinobi cannot fully understand or handle. It is identified by red sclera and irideous patches that spread over the eyeball and nine tomoe in a ripple pattern. Kaguya Otsutsuki originally manifested this dojutsu as a third eye on her forehead after consuming the God Tree’s chakra fruit.
As a result of Kaguya’s union with the God Tree, it was also held by the Ten-Tails. Madara Uchiha is also known to possess the Rinne Sharingan. The only other person known to possess Rinne Sharingan was Sasuke Uchiha during the Fourth Great Ninja War. The Rinne Sharingan has Sharingan-level ocular strength and can be utilized to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
It possesses the Six Path powers of the Rinnegan plus the reality-altering and genjutsu skills of the Sharingan, making the wielder a genuinely infinitely powerful being. This eye can also do several extremely intriguing space-time ninjutsu techniques, some of which can be fatal when applied correctly.

Rinne Sharingan Vs Rinnegan
It is known that only a select few shinobi have been able to use Rinnegan and Rinne Sharingan, which are recognized as legendary powers. Even while Rinnegan and Rinne Sharingan’s techniques come from the same source, they differ in various ways. Rinnegan is not nearly as strong as Rinne Sharingan.
Due to its special qualities, like its capacity to cast Infinite Tsukuyomi and reflect on the moon, Rinne Sharingan is more powerful than Rinnegan. Rinne Sharingan can be deemed as a more developed variant of Rinnegan.
In addition, Rinne Sharingan possesses the power to instantly teleport between two predetermined locations by tearing through time and space. While Boruto has shown a lot of Otsutsuki characters in the series over the years, it still has yet to show the ability of Rinne Sharingan in the series.
