Good news for all the Jamie Foxx fans as the Oscar-winning actor and comedian makes his first public appearance after he was hospitalized in April. Jamie was shooting for his next Netflix film “Back in Action” in Georgia when he experienced health issues and was rushed to a hospital in Atlanta.
The fans were informed and updated about the actor’s condition through Instagram by his
daughter, Corinne Foxx.
Jamie Foxx Makes Public Appearance, Waves To Fans
After being hospitalized 4 months back, Foxx was seen in public for the first time on Sunday, July 9, while cruising down the Chicago River on a yacht with several other family members. The actor seemed happy as he was seen waving back to his fans and the cameras. On Sunday morning, the actor took to Twitter first time in 4 months, and shared, “Boat life 🦊Celebrating Summer with @brownsugarbbn Stay blessed!”
The actor was in the hospital for a month, in early May, he thanked his fans and friends for supporting him throughout this journey via a post on Instagram where he wrote, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed🙏❤🦊.”

What Was the Cause Behind Jamie’s Hospitalization?
Soon after the actor’s hospitalization, his daughter, Corinne took to Instagram and informed, “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
While his illness remains undisclosed, there were many negative reports, and claims on the actor’s health which caused a lot of worry among his fans. Several claims were made that the 55-year-old actor suffered a complication due to the side effects of Covid 19 vaccine.
Later his daughter debunked all the rumors saying, “Sad to see how the media runs wild.” She further wrote, “My father has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
Even one of Jamie’s “They Cloned Tyrone” co-stars, John Boyega revealed that the actor is
recovering well and just needs some privacy during this time, he further said that their team can’t wait to have him back on set.
